MUMTAZ INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL MOTHER'S DAY
Mother's Day is a special day dedicated to celebrating and honouring mothers for their love, sacrifice, and unwavering support. It's a day that provides an opportunity to express gratitude and appreciation for the incredible woman who significantly shaped our lives and made our world a better place.
Mother's Day can be traced back to the early 20th century, when Anna Jarvis, an American activist, campaigned for a day to honour Mothers and their contribution. In 1914, Mother's Day was officially recognized as a national holiday in the United States by President Woodrow Wilson. Since then, it has become a global phenomenon celebrated in various countries around the world.
Mother's Day is celebrated differently in many countries worldwide, but its essence remains the same: to express gratitude to mothers for their unconditional love. Therefore, it is essential for us to reflect on the significance of International Mother's Day.
First, Mother's Day serves as a reminder of the selfless love and dedication that mothers provide to their families. It is a time to reflect on the countless sacrifices mothers make, the challenges they overcome and the unconditional support they offer. This day gives us an opportunity to express gratitude for what mothers do to show them how much they are valued and cherished.
Second, it is important to acknowledge the immense sacrifices mothers make from the physical (childbirth) to the emotional, that is, always being there for their children, instilling values, and nurturing the growth of their children.
Thirdly, Mother's Day strengthens family bonds and encourages the expression of love and appreciation within the family unit.
Furthermore, Mother's Day can be used to raise awareness about social issues affecting mothers, such as maternal health, gender inequality, and access to childcare. Advocating for policies and initiatives that improve the lives of mothers and families.
In conclusion, Mother's Day holds significant value beyond a mere celebration. It's a day of appreciating mothers, strengthening family bonds, advocating for positive change, and inspiring acts of love and kindness that ripple outwards, creating a more nurturing, supportive world for all.

Abu Huraira reported that a person came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: Who among the people is most deserving of a fine treatment from my hand? He said: Your mother. He again said: Then who (is the next one)? He said: Again, it is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He said: Then who (is the next one)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Again, it is your mother. He (again) said: Then who? Thereupon, he said: Then it is your father. In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Qutalba, there is no mention of the word "the people.
