Welcome to Cultural Week 2024 at Mumtaz International School!

From November 11th to November 15th, we invite our entire community to come together to celebrate our shared humanity and the diverse cultures that make up our global family.


This year's theme, United Voices, Shared Heritage: A Journey Through Culture, explores the rich traditions, languages, and histories of various cultures, highlighting the values that connect us all. Through engaging performances, displays, and interactive activities, students will immerse themselves in a cultural journey that celebrates diversity while fostering unity.

Cultural Week

  • Day 1: Exploring African Heritage / Yoruba Day
    From traditional dance to the heartbeat of the drum, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Yoruba people. Experience the beauty of African heritage through its attire, language, and customs while connecting it to the larger African continent.

  • Day 2: Celebrating Asian Traditions / Hausa Day
    Discover Asia's rich history, vibrant colors, and spiritual depth through art and festivals, while celebrating the cultural pride of the Hausa people. Embrace the elegance of Hausa attire and traditions alongside the influence of Asian cultural festivals.

  • Day 3: Middle Eastern Wonders / Ebira Day
    A journey into the intricate art and flavorful cuisine of the Middle East, paralleled with the unique customs and attire of the Ebira people. Celebrate the beauty of Ebira culture, alongside the intricate designs of Middle Eastern heritage.

  • Day 4: European & American Heritage / Kanuri Day
    Explore European and American legacies, from classical music to modern innovation, alongside the rich history and attire of the Kanuri people. This day blends the evolution of global influences with the deep-rooted heritage of the Kanuri.

  • Culture Day (Day 5)
    The grand finale! A day where all voices unite to showcase a dazzling array of global and Nigerian traditions. Expect vibrant performances, cultural displays, traditional foods, and a powerful celebration of unity in diversity!

How Can You Participate?

  • Parents: We invite you to contribute by preparing traditional dishes from your culture for our global food fair or helping with cultural displays and exhibitions.

  • Students: Dress in your cultural attire, join the performances, and be part of this exciting journey.
